AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) is an ISO standard for messaging that reduces typical REST overhead by using a continuous TCP connection to the broker.

The Event Add-on for ERP now supports RAP events as triggers for outbound interfaces. SAP has offered local consumption of RAP Business Object events since S/4HANA 2023, opening up new possibilities for custom application integrations through access to all events added by the new RAP Business Objects. 

Using Event Studio, customers can configure RAP event linkages via predefined payloads. For scenarios where Event Studio is not available, RAP event linkage is also supported through the classic SAP GUI configuration screens.

The feature requires SAP S/4HANA 2023 or later.

Use CDS entities as payload in S/4HANA

Support CDS View Entities in SAP S/4HANA as message payloads, in addition to Payload Designs, classic tables and classic CDS views.
